Working together with the Ministry of Agriculture
In the end of October 2010, Swisskenko Ltd with the spontaneous and intensive support of the ministry of Agriculture – Kenya, developed a first business plan. In order to collect experiences this was quickly implemented on our test vegetable farm.
We expect the first results in the middle of January – the middle of the dry season. Since we are not fundamentally farmers, we have adopted much available know how from the “Ministry of Agriculture”.
At this point, we would like to thank the helpful experts from the ministry. We came to know about these people after the “Chief”, who is like the community leader in our community in “Jua Kali”, came to our farm and saw our farm activities. Without delay he invited the experts to visit and have a look at our farm. The “Chief” informed us that he would be glad if someone supports the small scale farmers in building of the infrastructure and business.
We will do exactly that!
Together with the ministry of Agriculture we are working towards a public presentation, which we will shall show our neighbours at the end of January, how the green revolution in Kenya looks like. We are working hard and we are eagerly expecting for the result.
