After a year’s hard work, we, the entire Swisskenko team is a bit proud of what we have achieved in this short time. Our test farm has changed its face completely and today almost 100% of it is utilized.

The result of our work is that only the production from the farm can almost pay for the family’s expenditure. In addition, 6 people have found a stable job with us and many self employed people are also benefiting from our activities.

Our wide variety of products provides the family with almost everything we need in our everyday life.

In the last 12 months, we invested about KSHS 1,500,000. - on the farm in different projects like water supply creation, water storage, dripping system, greenhouses, land preparation and harnessing, building storage space, testing of new technologies, organization, etc. We have different projects in fast pace, established mostly in less than 6 months.

We anticipate of refinancing of the investment in about 2 to 3 years. After that, this infrastructure can result into a good life for a medium size family.

If a small scale farmer therefore with his family decides to follow such a way, he / she can be sure of small bank financing of the individual projects distributed  applied step by step e.g. over  5 years and take the family into a stable middle class.

The experiences motivate us for the next phase. At the moment, we are looking for a second, bigger farm in order to enlarge our project and collect further experiences. We can show everyone that the diversification of the product line makes sense for a small scale farmer and with hard work his / her income will increase steadily.
