What do we understand by the term - Green Revolution

2011-02-21 06:47

Mobilizing fallow agricultural land, building simple infrastructure, afforestation by planting trees, ecological, environmental, economical and sustainable farming methods. Increasing agricultural production without polluting the environment.

In Kenya there is a vast fertile land that lies fallow. These are mostly small parcels of land in private ownership. The owners often lack the money to be able to efficiently grow vegetables or fruits. Even if it is only a few 100 Swiss Francs.

The green revolution from agriculture.co.ke should enable the small scale farmer to till the land and through these harvests to be able to feed the family and take the children to school.

In order to be make an impact, our farmers need startup capital. What we have in mind is that a “farmers support” people in other regions of the world could be interested in this. May be for the regions predicted to be affected by the climate change in the coming years.

We believe that the farmer support can helpful in many levels. Farmers who have an income must not give away to their children. Where there is work, there are jobs.

Agriculture.co.ke  will design a concept for a farmer support in the coming months. We would be please about creative ideas and inputs.
