Our Task
We see great potential in family farms between 2 and 7 acres. (1 acre = 4300 m2). The optimal size is approximately 5 acres.
For small scale farmers to be able to set up such an efficient mini farm, they need support. Advice, support, motivation and also meaningful financial models are required in order to bring this green revolution in motion.
We consider it as our responsibility to come up with a cost – and yield optimized mini farm design concept. Here in our farm we have began with an experiment and by the mid of 2011 we may have the necessary experience so that we perfect our ideas.
Together with our partners and the ministry of Agriculture in Kenya, we will succeed.
